AMELIE Hegardt is an artist, illustrator and film maker. Her background stems from a ten year long career in the fashion industry, out of which her projects have branched out into new territories.
Her figurative drawings and animated films depict and challenge the relationship between our internal and external world with humour and gentle absurdity. Her work is composed and inspired by choreographers such as Pina Bausch, the art of mime and lastly but dominantly her investment and attention to psychotherapy and the subconscious.
Amelie’s latest work has been screened at Centre Pompidou Centre in Paris and Tribeca Film Centre in New York.
